Remediation Tracker

Track and resolve security issues found during detection.

The Remediation Tracker surfaces actionable items that improve your security posture. Each item represents a specific gap in your LobsterHoney configuration -- fixing it strengthens your detection coverage and raises your posture score.

Issue Types

The tracker generates items for common configuration gaps:

IssueDescription
Unverified deploymentYour beacon or proxy has not passed a recent verification check
Missing trap categoriesOne or more trap types (file, config, api, page) have no active traps
No alert channelNo Slack, email, or webhook notification channel is configured
Stale verificationYour deployment was verified more than 30 days ago -- re-verify to confirm it still works
Low trap diversityActive traps cover fewer than 3 of the 4 trap categories
Proxy not configuredYou are on a Pro plan but have not set up proxy mode

Priority Levels

Each issue is assigned a priority:

  • High -- directly impacts your ability to detect threats (e.g. unverified deployment, no alerts)
  • Medium -- reduces coverage or detection quality (e.g. missing trap categories)
  • Low -- improvement opportunity that does not affect core detection (e.g. stale verification)

High-priority items should be addressed first, as they represent gaps where threats could go undetected.

Resolving Items

Review the issue

Each item includes a description and a link to the relevant settings or configuration page.

Take action

Follow the link to fix the issue -- deploy a beacon, add an alert channel, activate more trap types, or re-run verification.

Confirm resolution

After taking action, the tracker automatically detects the change and marks the item as resolved. Your posture score updates in real time.

New remediation items appear automatically as your setup changes. If you remove an alert channel or deactivate traps, the tracker creates a new item to flag the gap.
